Augmented Reality UI Poster – Super Mario 64
For this project, I designed an interactive augmented reality (AR) poster centered around Super Mario 64. My goal was to create an immersive experience where users uncover new layers of adventure and interactivity the longer they engage with the poster.
Using a minimal yet cinematic aesthetic, I integrated AR elements that allow users to interact with 3D character models by tapping or hovering over specific areas. The poster design captures Mario mid-air, reaching for an iconic red coin, blending high-quality visuals with low-poly 3D renders to stay true to the game's original style.
I developed 3D assets in Blender, optimized them for performance, and integrated animations and interactions in Adobe Aero. Through user testing and refinement, I ensured smooth interactions, adjusting placement, scale, and audio effects for an engaging final experience. The result is a nostalgic yet modern AR poster that brings Super Mario 64 to life in an interactive way.
Below the poster is a scannable download QR for the interactive Adobe Aero software. Simply scan the poster on your screen and begin interacting. A video demonstration is also below (please excuse my college house).
